Wish I could see the sidewalk prism lights which seem to be do all the illuminating in this cool picture. For 1912 it is well stocked with electric light fixtures.
Electricity for homes and businesses became economically practical in the 1880’s. This particular shop was in the basement of a pretty upscale bank so I’m sure that helped. I guess if someone is cutting your hair or providing you with a close shave, good lighting would be imperative! 🙂
